To protect the health and wellbeing of all dogs in our care, all dogs attending Shine Canine for daycare, boarding and training must be vaccinated against:
- Parvovirus, Distemper & Hepatitis (DHPPi)
- Canine Cough (Kennel Cough)
- Leptospirosis
Proof of vaccination is required before your dog’s stay.
Vaccination Stand-Down Periods
All dogs must be vaccinated against DHPPi (including parvovirus), canine cough and leptospirosis before attending Shine Canine.
Vaccinations must be administered sufficiently in advance of your dog’s stay to allow immunity to develop.
The required stand-down period varies depending on the vaccine administered, whether your dog is receiving a routine booster or starting a new vaccination course, and the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Some intranasal canine cough vaccines provide protection against Bordetella within 72 hours, while other components and vaccine types take longer.
Please ensure vaccinations are arranged well in advance of your booking. Dogs with recently administered or overdue vaccinations will be assessed individually based on their vaccination history and the vaccines administered.
Health Requirements
Dogs must be healthy and free from signs of infectious illness, including coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, vomiting or diarrhoea.
