We are a kiwi family of 4 (kids are 9 and 5) from Whitianga, Coromandel, traveling to the South Island with our off road caravan and 3 well trained Border Collies 🐕 You can follow our travels at:

We are an active family and love the outdoors, I love exploring beaches and bush with the dogs, the kids love riding their bikes, swimming, skateboarding and playgrounds (as well as board games and card games), my husband is in to hunting and fishing.
I am an experienced dog handler and trainer, and I also own a successful doggy daycare and boarding kennel business, as well as a dog training business and an online dog shop – Shine Canine and Shine Pets (links below).
My husband Brent is a qualified and experienced builder and has some tools with him (the Facebook page isn’t very active but will share it anyway – https://www.facebook.com/outshineconstructionnz).
I thought I would reach out and see if anyone needs a house/pet sitter, a builder or dog trainer – or even a wwoofer (we have hosted many wwoofers ourselves before).
🏡 HOUSE/PET SITTING
For house/pet sitting, we would need somewhere we can park the ute and the caravan and have access to power, water and internet (I am running the businesses remotely). If we could stay in your house for a break from van life that would be a bonus! The dogs sleep in crates in the ute and are great around stock and birds (we have chickens and ducks at home as well as a cat) 😊
🐶 DOG TRAINING
I will be available for one on one lessons, or group lessons for dog training, including agility. I would also be happy to be a guest instructor at agility clubs, or hold some training workshops/seminars. I have successfully competed (and instructed and judged) in agility for quite a long time now (ie 20 years or so competing) and have a lot of knowledge to share!
🔨 BUILDING
Brent has limited tools with us so can’t build everything but could easily do some small jobs or work alongside someone.
🍃 WWOOFING
As I work remotely and we will be home schooling the kids we won’t have a lot of hours to give to wwoofing but if you have somewhere we can park up and can provide power/water/internet, we won’t need a room or feeding but can be some help around your property while we stay 😊
We don’t have a lot of travel plans, at this stage just Hanmer Springs next weekend for a dog agility event, Wanaka second half of March (my brother and his family will be down there then, we haven’t booked anywhere for ourselves to stay yet), and then Dunedin in April where I am judging dog agility. So we thought perhaps we will stick to the top half of the South Island until we head to Wanaka, then possibly explore the bottom of the South Island from April, but nothing is set in stone yet, we just have to be back home by mid/late July.

📍 WANAKA region from 18th March (or slightly earlier) to about the end of March 😊
📍 DUNEDIN region and heading south from 8th April
and then heading back to the North Island in July
